MORE PEOPLE WITH ASTHMA DIVING
An increasing number of patients with controlled diabetes, asthma and other diseases are getting the green light for an activity that was once off limits: scuba diving. There is little evidence to suggest that having asthma or diabetes should preclude a patient from venturing under water, according to researchers at the Dive Medicine Symposium at Rutgers University here.

Diversified Aquatics specializes in scuba diving education and training. We provide clients with scuba instruction, dive travel, scuba gear consultation, service and rentals. Our mission is to produce the safest and most educated divers in the world by providing up-to-date training materials, facilities and dive equipment to introduce new divers to the wonderful world of scuba, and provide existing divers with all level continuing education.
Our business is all about not only helping people get their beginning scuba certification, but also helping them continue the adventure through advanced, specialty, technical and leadership diver training. We certify through a number of training agencies, but primiraly train using the NAUI system. We can do open-water training referrals (“check out dives”) for any agency.
Diversified Aquatics employs a network of highly qualified diving professionals. Our lead instructor is Scott Evans (read Scott’s bio). Scott came to the Jacksonville area after selling a very successful dive shop in northern Virginia. He has now made north Florida his home, and diving our many springs and offshore sites his passion.
Located in Jacksonville, Florida, our dive training programs are conducted locally here in Florida and across the Midwest and the Great Lakes.
