Technical Diver Program

This program actually combines three courses into one. (Each can be taken individually) They are:
- Technical Nitrox.
- Stage decompression.
- Helitrox (non-hypoxic Trimix).
The NAUI Technical Diver program is designed to help you plan and execute dives using Nitrox and helium-based mixes in the 100- to 180-foot range.
Divers should plan on completing the Intro to Tec course, or be able to document equivalent training/experience, prior to enrolling in this course.
Who?

Who Can Enroll? This course is open to divers who:
- Are at least 18 years old.
- Are certified to the Master Scuba level or equivalent.
- Have logged at least 75 dives.
- Are able to either answer No to all questions on the standard Medical History form or secure a physician’s approval prior to the start of class.
What?

What is involved? This course consists of:
- Self study.
- Four classroom sessions.
- Optional pool sessions.
- 12 plus open water training dives.

- Mask and suitable fins.
- Adequate exposure protection.
- Cylinder configuration suitable for level of training.
- Weight system, weights, if needed.
- Tech diving harness and air cell.
- Regulator configuration suitable for level of training.
- Depth gauge/timer or computer.
- Audible surface signal.
- Surface signal (safety tube).
- Cutting tool.
- Dive tables and slate.
